In order to ensure that the PHP personnel are effectively patrolling in their respective beat areas, an indigenous Vehicle Tracking System has been incorporated by the Directorate of Monitoring. Each PHP vehicle has been installed with a Tracker device, which is transmitting its location on round the clock basis. Through this Vehicle Tracking System, the monitoring staff in the DOM Operations Room constantly keeps track of their movement, records any anomaly and keeps track of the vehicles position. This system has been instrumental in minimizing misuse, improve patrolling efficiency and the overall performance of Punjab Highway Patrol.
